Customer Reviews in Aspen Gardens, Alberta

  • Blake P.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars

Great service. Brandon Cooper was awesome. I won’t give the ugly details but he fixed the clog and fixed a the source of the clog so that we shouldn’t have the problem again.

  • Jason

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars

Mr Rooter gets 5/5 for professionalism, service, and attention to detail. But personally an overall rating of 3/5 would only be because they are knowingly overpriced. Buyer beware you CAN do better on price but service and expertise is top notch. For example, they have a 100$ off coupon for the first visit…. Now, all told my repair was simple and I did all the diagnosing and pre-work necessary to effect the drain augering quickly and easily which it was ultimately completed in 13 min. So they wanted at least $500 to clear a tub drain clog after a sewer backup had caused a downstream (10 feet from tub drain) issue. The technician plumber was fantastic 5/5 and dealt with the other issues (I needed an estimate on other work) quickly, efficiently, and expediently BUT the company policy is 200 to 500% over and above what I can get other plumbers to do the work. (Partially, they were assuming Insurance was paying, I suspect.) Therefore, IF your insurance is paying or you happen to be rich the quality and friendliness of the work is wonderful. The bottom line for me was price/sticker shock induced.

Fast response to my request and they were able to get to my house the same day. David did a great job unclogging the drains and getting everything cleaned out and working again.

David Beatch with Mr. Rooter was great, friendly, detailed with what the problem was. We would definitely call them again.

  • Aly P.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars

We had Jayden come to our acreage and inspect some water that was coming up through our basement floor. Jayden was transparent on everything he was doing. Respectful, on time and courteous. He was so personable and able to relay our issue in terms I could understand. He was able to find a clog in our line and unplug it for us. He then proceeded to recommend best course of action going forward, advice to which we took. I appreciate him and the work he did. He was fantastic to deal with and his knowledge on acreages was an asset. Mr. rooter may not be the cheapest option, but they come with the tools needed to get the job done, and that brings peace of mind. Thank you again, Jayden!!

  • Cheryl G.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars

I had leaking water meter connections so phoned in and spoke with Amber who was so pleasant and wonderful to deal with. She quickly set up the appointment for me and was patient as I had to coordinate activities with my condo property management and EPCOR. And then there was Austin. I cannot say enough good things about him! He went about the repairs working autonomously, quickly and neatly (he didn’t have the best working conditions I might add), and took the time to answer my questions honestly, and even to pet Bella, our cat, who surprisingly showed a great deal of interest in him—I think she fell in love with him a little bit, lol! If you’re like I was, wondering what to do and who to call, don’t put it off, call Mr Rooter.

Genuine, respectful, and incredibly helpful. I've had them out to more than one property for multiple issues, and I'll keep going back.

Frequently Asked Questions About Water Heater Repair & Replacement in Aspen Gardens, Alberta

Read our ‘Frequently Asked Questions’ below for all your water heater repair and replacement-related questions. To learn more about our services, reach out to the team at Mr. Rooter Plumbing® in Aspen Gardens, Alberta today.

  • Rather than trying to fix a water heater yourself when you don’t have the right knowledge, skills, or tools, contact a trained plumbing service provider with experience in repairs and maintenance. Look for information about licensing and insurance for peace of mind before choosing a plumbing service provider in your area to repair your water heater. Read online reviews and testimonials and talk to friends and family members before hiring a plumbing service provider for water heater repairs so you can feel more confident. When you see that a water heater repair expert offers guaranteed parts and workmanship, you may be more likely to hire them for peace of mind.

  • When your water heater isn’t producing hot water, you or your chosen service professional can check the power supply, heating element, and thermostat to diagnose the problem. Repairs and replacements through service professionals can be required when your water heater is leaking due to corrosion, a loose connection, or a faulty pressure relief valve. Strange sounds from your water heater can indicate sediment buildup, which your local service professional can address by performing a tank flush. As tempting as it can be to repair a water heater yourself, trained and licensed service typically have more experience, skills, and the right tools for repairs and replacements.

  • In many situations, an older water heater with a label saying it’s at least 8-12 years old may not be worth repairing if it has major problems. When a new water heater is just 50% more than repairing an old water heater, replacing it is a more cost-effective solution. A water heater that service professionals have repaired multiple times before typically isn’t cost-effective to fix, and you should explore replacement options instead. Think about how well your water heater is performing and whether it’s efficient — these points can help you decide whether you want to repair or replace it.

  • Rust and damage affecting your water heater mean that repairs are a less recommended and cost-effective option than total water heater replacement with an expert. When a water heater leaks from its pipes and fittings, check the connections on your inlet and outlet pipes for leaks and, if necessary, ask service professionals to help fix them. If you have a leak from a broken pressure relief valve in your water heater, contact a trained service professional to replace it for you. Leaks in the vicinity of your water heater’s drain valve can indicate that it isn’t fully closed or has been damaged and requires the help of service professionals to fix.

  • If you haven’t maintained your water heater, or it’s old and worn out, you may pay more to repair it than a newer or well-maintained model. Different water heater models come with varying repair costs based on how they’re built, with gas, electric, tank, and tankless types each having their own price considerations. You likely won’t be told an ‘average’ repair cost since water heaters can encounter different problems like leaks, faulty thermostats, and sediment buildup that cost different amounts to fix. The town, city, or region you call home can contribute to the bill you receive for water heater repairs since labour costs vary from location to location.

  • How much you pay to replace a water heater depends on the type you choose to buy, such as a gas or electric version of a tank or tankless water heater. Pay attention to the flow rate or water tank size of your preferred tankless or tank water heater since those factors contribute to your overall replacement bill. Many factors contribute to your overall water heater replacement bill, like the company you choose to install it, permits, how complicated it is to install, and your location. The best way to find out how much it costs to replace a water heater is by contacting your local service professional for an estimate.

  • You should start thinking about replacing your water heater with the help of a service professional if it’s old, expensive, and less efficient than a new model. Old water heaters can start to cost money, so if you’ve spent half the cost of a new unit on repairing your old one, it’s time to buy a replacement. As rust and slow-forming leaks in water heaters can quickly turn into major problems, buy a new unit as soon as possible. There are countless reasons to replace your water heater, like wanting to benefit from more advanced technologies, upgrading to one that’s more fit for purpose, and not having to worry about frustrating sediment buildup anymore.

  • How long it takes to replace a water heater depends on the type of water heater you’ve chosen to install with the help of a service professional. When your plumbing service provider needs to install, repair, or replace plumbing connections, this contributes to a longer timeline to replace your water heater. There’s a chance your chosen service professional will need longer than average for water heater replacement if they need to install a new gas line or modify your old water heater to remove it. It will only take a few hours for your chosen water heater expert to replace your water heater if everything goes according to plan and the installation process is straightforward.

  • Depending on your water heater type and model, you can consider the ‘average’ lifespan and replace your water heater once it reaches that age. Every water heater is different, but most tank water heaters have an average lifespan of 8-12 years or 10-15 if it’s a high-efficiency water heater. If you own a tankless water heater that has been well-installed and maintained, it’s not uncommon for it to provide 15 to 20 years of faithful service. Water quality problems, a lack of maintenance, performance problems and ongoing issues may all contribute to a water heater not meeting its average expected lifespan.

  • Some home buyers will choose a property with worthwhile upgrades, like high-efficiency water heaters, over properties with fewer upgrades and older water heaters. Houses can appear more cared for and looked after when their owners invest in upgraded appliances and fixtures, such as water heaters, for more efficiency and comfort. Alongside a new water heater, homeowners may like to make other upgrades to get a better return on their investment, such as new appliances or a full kitchen and bathroom renovation. Research the market conditions in your area when house-hunting as they, alongside upgrades like water heaters, contribute to how much a property sells for.
