Last week, Vinay Rajput of Mr. Rooter Plumbing of Schaumburg, Ill with the tireless efforts of Bryan Dick and team went out of their way to help a homeowner.
Gloria Voit called Mr. Rooter after having not had running water in her home for three weeks and she knew it'd be expensive to repair. Gloria is currently on a fixed income living on her social security.
When these guys showed up to quote the repair cost and told Gloria it sat in the neighborhood of $6,000 her heart sank. That was a financial obligation to which she could not commit.
After talking with her, Bryan realized for the last decade she has dedicated countless volunteer hours and donations to the Make-A-Wish Foundation where she has helped make lots of wishes come true for unfortunate children.
"Someone like that has donated so much of her time and given so much to people around her. She donates her time to help them out at Make A Wish and make wishes come true ... It's about time somebody like us could step up and make her wish come true," Dick said.
Mr. Rooter of Schaumburg did the work free-of-charge and gave this woman who gives so much of herself, once again, the gift of running water.
I wish we had more people like Vinay and Bryan in the world; it'd be a better place. We're very proud of the Mr. Rooter family and thank Bryan and Vinay for truly living by our Code of Values.
