Our technician Sean did a very thorough inspection of the problem which we thought was more complicated than it was. He also sent time with us to explain how the drainage pipes in the basement are laid out and how problems will arise so that we can trouble shoot any obstacles in the future. He meticulously detailed on the bill exactly what the problem was, and what he did to get rid of the blockage in the drain. Very personable young man.

We did have problems connecting re the first appointment time, but all was resolved the next week (not urgent – just a change of taps). Also, quite expensive and took 3 hours!

Your representatives on the phone were very polite and professional, and I was very pleased that not only did someone call to let me know when the service tech would arrive the day of my appointment, but I was also sent an email of his name and photo. That shows the outstanding care that you take of your customers before my service appointment even started. Your rates were a little higher then the other companies I quoted, but it was worth it for the extra level of professionalism that seems to be absent with others. Absolutely will recommend you, and use you again!

When researching the costs of sewer line replacement, your property’s unique sewer line location, depth, and length measurements all contribute to the cost. Depending on your property type and individual circumstances, some sewer line replacement methods can cost more than others, like traditional excavation, pipe bursting, and pipe lining. Don’t forget to think about material costs since HDPE, ABS, and PVC sewer line pipes can all cost different amounts. Don’t neglect to research all lesser-known costs that are linked to sewer line replacement, like labour costs, permit costs, and site restoration costs.
-
The costs associated with repairing a sewer line for commercial and residential customers depends on whether the repair is only minor or significant. How your preferred service professional repairs your sewer lines contributes to how much this service costs, such as traditional excavation versus pipe lining or pipe bursting as trenchless methods. Sewer line repair experts all charge different amounts for their services based on what they have to offer, like guaranteed parts and workmanship, licenses, and insurance. The costs associated with parts and materials needed for sewer line repairs can all add up, including HDPE, PVC, or ABS sewer pipe, repair sleeves, couplings, and connectors.
-
While every city and region is different, it’s generally accepted that you organize sewer line professionals and manage the associated costs of sewer line clogs, leaks, and breaks on your own property As a homeowner, you don’t typically need to worry about sewer line repairs when something happens to a sewer line on public property, such as a leak or frozen pipe. As a homeowner in Canada, you must cover the costs of sewer line repairs to the upper and lower sections of your main sewer line, even though the lower section can sometimes be on public property. When encountering sewer line issues, don’t hesitate to contact a plumbing service provider so you can learn whether it’s your concern or one for your municipality.
-
Check your homeowner insurance policy documents carefully since they can provide information about whether or not your insurance covers sewer line replacement. Many elements impact your eligibility for sewer line replacement insurance, including the age and condition of your sewer pipes, your policy type and coverage limits, and the kind of pipes in use. If your insurance policy includes service line coverage, your provider may cover the expenses for repairing or replacing the underground sewer pipes for which you’re responsible. The best way to know if your insurance company covers sewer line replacement costs is by contacting them to find out before hiring a trusted plumbing service provider to complete the work.
-
Depending on your province or territory in Canada, it’s generally accepted that you’ll need to request a permit to carry out sewer line replacement on your property. Even if you have a private water and sewage system on your rural property, you may still be required to obtain a permit for total sewer line replacement — depending on your location. When you know you need to get a sewer line replacement permit and don’t get one, there’s a chance you won’t be able to connect to your communal waterworks system and may even have challenges obtaining permits in the future. Trusted plumbers who offer sewer line replacements and your local council will be able to tell you if you need to request a permit to replace your sewer lines.
-
Sewer pipe materials contribute to the average lifespan, with PVC pipes known to last around 100 years compared to up to 60 years for metal and clay. While there might be an ‘average’ lifespan for your sewer lines, that’s not to say it can’t be shortened by things like pouring grease and unwanted items down your drains, parking your vehicle on the earth above, and tree roots. You should replace your sewer lines with the help of a trusted professional before their expected lifespan if they are cracked, clogged, or damaged beyond repair. A sewer line inspection with video equipment from a trusted plumbing service provider is the best way to know that you need to replace your sewer line.
-
Every company and sewer system is different, but you can expect a licensed and insured plumbing service provider to tackle sewer line replacement in one to five days. There are many sewer line replacement options, like trenchless and traditional excavation, and each can take a shorter or longer amount of time to complete. The length of your sewer line undoubtedly contributes to how long it takes to complete the replacement job — the longer it is, the longer it can take to replace. Plumbers typically factor in things like site preparation and restoration, soil conditions, and sewer line depth before telling you how long sewer line replacement takes.
-
Foul smells on or around your property aren’t always innocent; they can indicate that you have a broken or damaged sewer pipe on your property. If the plumbing in your home or business is slow-draining, contact a plumbing service provider you trust to diagnose a potentially cracked or clogged sewer line. Gurgling coming from your toilet when you flush is far from an innocent sound and can indicate that your sewer lines are filled with water and may be broken. When broken sewer lines aren’t noticed or addressed quickly, they can lead to severe issues for your property, like the sinking of your driveway or concrete pavers and even foundation cracks in structures.
-
Don’t attempt to fix a broken sewer pipe yourself; outsource this task to a trusted service professional with licensing and insurance for your peace of mind. Your service provider may recommend traditional excavation to repair your sewer line, which can involve digging a hole to repair or replace the sewer line before filling it back in and restoring the ground on top. Fixing a broken sewer pipe doesn’t have to mean removing an old one; it can involve a trenchless repair method in which epoxy is inserted into an existing pipe to seal cracks and provide a smooth interior. Sewer line repairs don’t always require excavation; professionals can employ a trenchless pipe bursting technique to break an old pipe and replace it with a new one without creating a trench.
-
As soon as the sewer lines for your home and business are no longer reliable due to old age and ongoing repairs, now is the right time to explore replacement. When you or former property owners didn’t prioritize sewer line maintenance in the past, you can start to notice costly related problems that mean sewer line replacement is necessary. When you’ve been told that there are tree roots in the joins of your sewer pipes, book sewer line replacement as soon as possible. Even if your sewer lines aren’t old or damaged, plumbing service providers will recommend replacement if they aren’t installed properly, have build-up, or aren’t laid out as they should be.
