If you need to know what to look for, it's easy to miss problems with your pipes. Don't worry, though, our team is here to show you the warning signs that your plumbing might be in trouble. If you notice any of the following things, give us a call straight away:
Hearing Dripping Sounds
You could have a leak if you hear water drops, but there's no tap on. Remember to check in rooms you don't go into a lot, like a guest bathroom, as leaks might be hiding there.
Seeing Rust or Water Puddles
Do you see rust or puddles of water near your taps, sink drains, or shower and bath drains? Is there water on the floor under the taps? Don't ignore these – they could mean a bigger problem.
Higher Water Bill
Has your water bill suddenly gone up? If it has, you might have a leak or another issue with your plumbing. Look for signs of water leaks or get a plumber to help.
Noisy Taps
Are your taps making a noise, or are they hard to turn on and off? This could mean there's a bigger problem, like a leak.
Mold or Bad Smells
Leaks can sometimes cause a smell before you see any other signs. You might have a leak if you notice a moldy smell or something that smells like food. Make sure you get it checked out straight away.
