The Best Plumber Saskatoon Has to Offer!

Saskatoon's climate and water conditions create plumbing challenges you won't find everywhere. Your home's plumbing system also deals with moderately hard water, which means mineral scale builds up inside water heaters, clogs aerators, and shortens the life of fixtures and appliances. Add in cast iron and galvanized steel pipes common in older Saskatoon homes, and you've got a plumbing system that needs regular attention from our plumber.

Saskatoon plumbers know what homeowners face because they’re locals too. We've thawed frozen pipes, replaced corroded sewer lines, and installed water heaters built to handle hard water throughout the Greater Saskatoon area. You get upfront pricing before any work begins. No hidden fees and no overtime charges. Every repair is backed by our Neighbourly Done Right Promise®, so you know the job will be done right the first time.

When we arrive at your home, we're not just looking at the immediate problem. We're also looking at the age of your plumbing system, the pipe materials, the water pressure, and the condition of fixtures and connections. Every service call is also an opportunity to give you a clear picture of what's working and what might need attention soon, so you're in the loop.

Areas We Serve

Expert Plumbing Services Saskatoon Residents Can Trust

Whether you're dealing with a clogged drain, a leaking pipe, or a complete plumbing system failure, our team handles it all. We provide fast, reliable service for both residential and commercial customers throughout Saskatoon and the surrounding areas. Our plumbers arrive on time, assess the problem, explain your options clearly, and complete the work with the professionalism and care your home deserves. We also offer financing options for larger plumbing projects, so you can get the repairs or replacements your home needs without delay.

Here's what we do:

  • Drain cleaning services and clog removal for everything from slow kitchen sinks to completely blocked main lines. We use camera inspections to identify the cause of the blockage, then clear it with the right tool for the job (cable snake for solid obstructions, HydroScrub® Jetting for grease and scale buildup).
  • Clogged drain services
  • Sewer backup repair to clear blockages and restore flow fast. If sewage is backing up into your basement floor drain or lowest fixtures, we can diagnose whether it's a clog, root intrusion, or a damaged pipe, then recommend the right repair.
  •  and replacement, including tankless water heaters and models designed to handle Saskatoon's hard water. We can assess whether your tank requires a flush, repair, or full replacement based on its age, efficiency, and condition.
  • Emergency plumbing service available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. When you have a burst pipe, sewer backup, or water heater failure in the middle of winter, you need help immediately, and we're ready to respond. Our 24/7 emergency service means a live person answers the phone, not a voicemail.
  • HydroScrub® Jetting is a high-pressure water cleaning system (up to 4,000 PSI) that scours the entire inside of the pipe clean. Unlike a cable snake that punches a hole through a blockage, jetting removes grease, mineral scale, and years of buildup. We typically recommend a camera inspection first so we can see exactly what we're dealing with and confirm the pipe is in good condition for high-pressure cleaning.
  • Sewer line repair and replacement services, including trenchless pipe lining options that let us repair your sewer line without tearing up your yard. A camera inspection helps us determine whether your line is clogged, damaged by roots, or failing due to age and corrosion.
  • Leaking pipe repair to stop leaks before they cause water damage, mold growth, or structural issues. We can repair pinhole leaks, cracked joints, and corroded sections, or replace the damaged section if needed.
  • Water line replacement and installation from the main to your fixtures, including service line upgrades and repairs to frozen or damaged lines.
  • Plumbing inspections that catch problems early and help you avoid expensive emergency repairs. We check for leaks, corrosion, venting issues, and code compliance, and provide a clear report of our findings.
  • Frozen pipe thawing and prevention, including heat trace cable installation and insulation upgrades for vulnerable areas. Saskatoon winters are hard on plumbing, and we know where pipes are most likely to freeze in local homes.
  • Toilet repair and replacement for running toilets, leaking seals, clogs, and outdated fixtures that waste water.
  • Kitchen sink and bathroom plumbing repairs, including faucet replacement, garbage disposal service, and fixture upgrades.
  • Sump pump installation, repair, and replacement to protect your basement from flooding during spring melt and heavy rain.
  • Gas line services and electric water heater installation for homes upgrading their systems.
  • Indoor plumbing repairs and upgrades for aging systems, including repiping and fixture replacement.

You stay in control of your budget, and you know exactly what you're getting.

The Neighbourly Done Right Promise®

We had a great experience with Mr. Rooter and especially Ryder! Came home to an abnormally loud sounding sump pump- called Mr. Rooter and was connected with Ryder. He recommended coming over to check it out which we were glad he did. Found out that our sump pump was eroded, and not working properly anymore...plus other problems (it could have caused a flooded basement). Ryder did an incredible job of replacing it and fixed other things... very friendly and professional. Thanks again!

Kim went above and beyond to help me out. I really appreciate the help and his willingness when it came to installing a sump pump. Since there was a heavy rain forecast and waiting another day could’ve been a disaster, he reached out to me after hours and asked if it would be fine to install the unit today itself and got it done and checked everything. I’m very appreciative of all the help and would recommend him to whoever needs it.

Frequently Asked Questions About Our Plumber: Saskatoon

When you need a plumber in Saskatoon, you want clear answers and a plan that makes sense for your home. Here are a few of the most common questions we hear from local homeowners. If you still have questions, contact us now, and we'll help you figure out the next right step.

  • Your plumbing system works hard year-round, but Saskatoon's climate and water conditions create challenges that require a bit of extra attention. Here's what we see most often in local homes, and what you can do to stay ahead of problems. Whether you need plumbing help for preventive maintenance or emergency plumbing repairs, understanding these common issues helps you make better decisions.

Winter Freeze Protection Starts in the Fall

When temperatures drop below -15 degrees and remain there for days, any pipe in an unheated space is at risk. That includes outdoor faucets, pipes in uninsulated crawlspaces, and supply lines running along exterior walls. The water inside expands as it freezes, and that pressure can crack copper, PEX, or galvanized steel. By the time you notice the leak, the pipe has already failed. The best protection is insulation and heat trace cable on vulnerable lines, plus shutting off and draining outdoor faucets before the first hard freeze in late September or early October. If you're leaving town in winter, keep your heat set to at least 15 degrees and open cabinet doors under sinks so warm air can circulate around the pipes.

Hard Water and Your Water Heater

Saskatoon's treated water measures around 160 mg/L for hardness, which falls within the moderately hard to hard range. This indicates that calcium and magnesium minerals are present and, over time, settle as sediment in your water heater tank. You'll hear it as popping or rumbling when the burner fires, and you'll see it in reduced efficiency and a shorter tank life. Flushing the tank once a year helps, but many Saskatoon homeowners don't realize it's needed until the heater starts failing early. If you're replacing a water heater, consult your plumber about models designed for hard water areas, or consider a water softener if scale buildup is affecting multiple fixtures. We also service gas and electric water heaters, including tankless models, which can be more efficient in hard water conditions with proper maintenance.

Older Homes and Cast Iron Drain Pipes

If your Saskatoon home was built before 1975, there's a good chance your main drain stack is cast iron. Cast iron was the standard for decades, and it lasts a long time, but it doesn't last forever. It corrodes from the inside out, so by the time you see rust stains on the outside of the pipe, the inside is often severely pitted and rough. That rough surface catches debris and slows flow, which leads to recurring clogs and toilet clogs. A camera inspection can show you what's happening inside the pipe, and that information helps you decide whether a cleaning will solve the problem or whether it's time to replace the section that's failing.

Clay Sewer Laterals in Older Neighbourhoods

Many older Saskatoon homes have clay sewer laterals connecting the house to the main sewer line in the street. A clay pipe was durable for its time, but the joints between sections can separate as the ground shifts and settles over the years. Once those joints open up, tree roots find their way in, and soil can infiltrate the line. You'll notice recurring backups, slow drains throughout the house, or soggy spots in the yard above the sewer line. A camera inspection shows us exactly where the problem is, and we can recommend whether spot repair, pipe lining, or full replacement makes the most sense for your situation.

Fats, Oils, and Grease in Kitchen Drains

One of the most common causes of kitchen sink clogs in Saskatoon homes is the disposal of fats, oils, and grease down the drain. When hot grease cools in your pipes, it solidifies and coats the inside of the line, catching food particles and building up over time. The City of Saskatoon specifically warns against this practice because it leads to both household clogs and municipal sewer system problems. Instead, pour grease into a container, let it solidify, and throw it in the garbage. This simple habit can prevent expensive drain cleaning services and protect your plumbing system.
