My ego had me hesitant to call a plumber for something I felt I should be able to diagnose and repair. After a few failed attempts and once the seven stages of grief had passed I decided to call Mr Rooter. Robert arrived quickly and in no time had found the issue and repaired it for free. He explained what the problem was, how to fix it should it happen again and gave me a free estimate because we both know I’ll be calling him again after I make it worse. I would not hesitate to call Mr Rooter again. I wish I had called sooner. Friendly, knowledgeable and truly professional. If you’re reading this review because you need something fixed but aren’t sure where to start, don’t make the same mistake I did. Call now. Service: Plumbing leak detection

I had an issue and called 2 other companies in regards to my issue with a hot water valve that wont turn off and would leak water. I called Mr. Rooter for help and they came 20 min later but no other plumbers even got back to me at all after ive been chasing them for help. I ended up getting Jeff as my plumbing tech. He was very open to me about what are my options. After driving across town to get the part for me i was very glad that someone cared about my situation. I was very glad to get Jeff’s help and expert knowledge. He finished everything in a blink of an eye. Any employer should be glad to have this man under their belt. If I had a business, people like Jeff is what we need more of both for a buisness and consumers aspect. I wouldnt change anything that happened today. Not only does he deserves a raise financial but im sure that good thinks will come his way for this guy in his future. Regradless of the comany he works for it was him that made the experience amazing and make the company shine with his personal skill and plumbing perfections.

Got a quick appointment, Jeff was prompt. He was polite, helpful and was able to solve my problem in no time. He even gave me some tips to avoid it from happening again. I would definately recommend Mr. Rooter to friends and family and would not hesitate to use your company again. I have had plumbers from other companies come out in the past for other issues and was not at all satisfied with the service when they left. My issue was not solved and I was still out hundreds of dollars. I wish now I would have called Mr. Rooter!

I had the privilege of having Jeff Rivait, or as I will call him “Pope Jeff”. This man was incredible. Not only did he repair the clog but he made my weekend. I only wish there were more of him to go around. You have a great representative in Jeff and I hope you appreciate him the way I’m sure anyone who has dealt with him does. Thank you so very much! Rather than trying to fix a water heater yourself when you don’t have the right knowledge, skills, or tools, contact a trained plumbing service provider with experience in repairs and maintenance. Look for information about licensing and insurance for peace of mind before choosing a plumbing service provider in your area to repair your water heater. Read online reviews and testimonials and talk to friends and family members before hiring a plumbing service provider for water heater repairs so you can feel more confident. When you see that a water heater repair expert offers guaranteed parts and workmanship, you may be more likely to hire them for peace of mind.
-
When your water heater isn’t producing hot water, you or your chosen service professional can check the power supply, heating element, and thermostat to diagnose the problem. Repairs and replacements through service professionals can be required when your water heater is leaking due to corrosion, a loose connection, or a faulty pressure relief valve. Strange sounds from your water heater can indicate sediment buildup, which your local service professional can address by performing a tank flush. As tempting as it can be to repair a water heater yourself, trained and licensed service typically have more experience, skills, and the right tools for repairs and replacements.
-
In many situations, an older water heater with a label saying it’s at least 8-12 years old may not be worth repairing if it has major problems. When a new water heater is just 50% more than repairing an old water heater, replacing it is a more cost-effective solution. A water heater that service professionals have repaired multiple times before typically isn’t cost-effective to fix, and you should explore replacement options instead. Think about how well your water heater is performing and whether it’s efficient — these points can help you decide whether you want to repair or replace it.
-
Rust and damage affecting your water heater mean that repairs are a less recommended and cost-effective option than total water heater replacement with an expert. When a water heater leaks from its pipes and fittings, check the connections on your inlet and outlet pipes for leaks and, if necessary, ask service professionals to help fix them. If you have a leak from a broken pressure relief valve in your water heater, contact a trained service professional to replace it for you. Leaks in the vicinity of your water heater’s drain valve can indicate that it isn’t fully closed or has been damaged and requires the help of service professionals to fix.
-
If you haven’t maintained your water heater, or it’s old and worn out, you may pay more to repair it than a newer or well-maintained model. Different water heater models come with varying repair costs based on how they’re built, with gas, electric, tank, and tankless types each having their own price considerations. You likely won’t be told an ‘average’ repair cost since water heaters can encounter different problems like leaks, faulty thermostats, and sediment buildup that cost different amounts to fix. The town, city, or region you call home can contribute to the bill you receive for water heater repairs since labour costs vary from location to location.
-
How much you pay to replace a water heater depends on the type you choose to buy, such as a gas or electric version of a tank or tankless water heater. Pay attention to the flow rate or water tank size of your preferred tankless or tank water heater since those factors contribute to your overall replacement bill. Many factors contribute to your overall water heater replacement bill, like the company you choose to install it, permits, how complicated it is to install, and your location. The best way to find out how much it costs to replace a water heater is by contacting your local service professional for an estimate.
-
You should start thinking about replacing your water heater with the help of a service professional if it’s old, expensive, and less efficient than a new model. Old water heaters can start to cost money, so if you’ve spent half the cost of a new unit on repairing your old one, it’s time to buy a replacement. As rust and slow-forming leaks in water heaters can quickly turn into major problems, buy a new unit as soon as possible. There are countless reasons to replace your water heater, like wanting to benefit from more advanced technologies, upgrading to one that’s more fit for purpose, and not having to worry about frustrating sediment buildup anymore.
-
How long it takes to replace a water heater depends on the type of water heater you’ve chosen to install with the help of a service professional. When your plumbing service provider needs to install, repair, or replace plumbing connections, this contributes to a longer timeline to replace your water heater. There’s a chance your chosen service professional will need longer than average for water heater replacement if they need to install a new gas line or modify your old water heater to remove it. It will only take a few hours for your chosen water heater expert to replace your water heater if everything goes according to plan and the installation process is straightforward.
-
Depending on your water heater type and model, you can consider the ‘average’ lifespan and replace your water heater once it reaches that age. Every water heater is different, but most tank water heaters have an average lifespan of 8-12 years or 10-15 if it’s a high-efficiency water heater. If you own a tankless water heater that has been well-installed and maintained, it’s not uncommon for it to provide 15 to 20 years of faithful service. Water quality problems, a lack of maintenance, performance problems and ongoing issues may all contribute to a water heater not meeting its average expected lifespan.
-
Some home buyers will choose a property with worthwhile upgrades, like high-efficiency water heaters, over properties with fewer upgrades and older water heaters. Houses can appear more cared for and looked after when their owners invest in upgraded appliances and fixtures, such as water heaters, for more efficiency and comfort. Alongside a new water heater, homeowners may like to make other upgrades to get a better return on their investment, such as new appliances or a full kitchen and bathroom renovation. Research the market conditions in your area when house-hunting as they, alongside upgrades like water heaters, contribute to how much a property sells for.
