Video camera inspection
We offer comprehensive solutions tailored to meet your needs so you can enjoy a fully functioning drain without a major headache. Part of those drain repair services includes an inspection of your drains. We use the latest video camera technology to reach deep down into your plumbing system to uncover the issue. Our small camera is attached to a fiber-optic cable and a monitor, meaning we can discover any issues with your plumbing system in real time. The footage can even be rewound, slowed down, and zoomed in on to really get a clear picture of what is ailing your system. Then we can help you choose the best course of action; whether your drains need a little unclogging to work efficiently or they are highly corroded and need repairs, we have services to address the issue in a prompt and reliable manner.
HydroScrub® Jetting
Hydro jetting is the most effective tool we have in our arsenal. Our professional drain services utilize hydro jetting and high-pressure water jets to effectively eliminate major clogs, including oils, fats, and food debris, from inside your pipes. This results in an increased water flow, including wastewater, away from your house and into the city's sewer system. You'll get clean drains in no time!
HydroScrub® Jetting is like magic; it scours the interior walls of your drainage pipes, removing stubborn particles and debris. Hydro jetting effectively enhances the longevity of drain and sewer lines by eliminating detrimental bacteria that cause internal pipe damage. By doing so, it mitigates the necessity of a total pipe replacement, bringing greater convenience and cost-effectiveness, sometimes even resolving drainage issues!
Trenchless Repair
You know what is great about living in the 21st century? It's no longer necessary to tear open walls and floors or excavate large trenches in your yard. The trenchless repair offered by Mr. Rooter Plumbing is non-invasive and long-lasting. The drain line repair method described is highly efficient, as it can entail bursting the old pipe to install a new one or using a sleeve to line the existing pipe, creating a durable seal. Both methods require only a small hole at the beginning and end of the line and can typically be completed in just one day.
With pipe bursting, our professionals slide a bursting head through the damaged section of the pipe; this is followed by the insertion of a new pipe. In one fluid motion, the old pipe is burst open and the new pipe is slid into place. This creates a whole new section and is used for repairing and replacing damaged sections of pipe that are long or very large. Pipe lining is similar, both use small holes at either end of the damaged pipe. In this case, our Markham drain repair team slides a flexible resin pipe inside the damaged section; that pipe is inflated and allowed to cure, creating a new, solid pipe inside the old one.
Traditional Repair Methods
As part of our reliable solutions for drain repair, Markham homeowners can rely on us to use traditional methods of repair where applicable. Sometimes, very large sections of damaged pipe require us to dig a trench to reach them. We perform this task quickly and efficiently and always clean up after ourselves because we understand how much of a nuisance this process can appear to be. We can then either patch the section of damage using joint-sealing techniques or a simple patch; these are typically used for small cracks rather than large sections that need drain repair. Markham plumbers will normally cut out the damaged section of pipe and place a new one in its place: Connect it to the old pipe and then close the trench back up.
